Furthermore, we crafted the stretchers from highly figured curly maple, adding an extra layer of elegance and sophistication. Specifically, our masterful joinery techniques include hand-cut dovetails where the stretchers connect to the sides. In addition, we used wedged tenons to secure the sides and steps together. We designed this remarkable piece as a functional step stool and a work of art that marries form and function.
