To achieve the client’s vision of a ‘Haunted Mansion’ aesthetic, I employed a multi-stage Keda aniline dye process. By applying a deep black dye and sanding it back twice, I ‘popped’ the grain, creating a high-contrast foundation for the final vibrant purple tone. Sealed under a durable, burnished lacquer, the result is a finish that feels as deep as the wood’s history.
